Coming Together

Today's Confession:

I confess that Jesus is my Lord. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:11

Sitting at lunch with my husband yesterday I overheard three men involved in talking about God and it appeared they were doing a Bible study.  I didn't want to, but I couldn’t help but listen a bit.  The interesting thing was that as one man did most of the talking nothing he said made any sense to me.  I was quite confused by it all.  Yet these men sat and talked and the others listened and I wondered how they could edified by this.  They seemed to be trying to decipher the meanings of certain scriptures that had them stumped.  I realized that religion can certainly get people confused but God never ever intended us to be confused about His word.  He sent it to us to bring light and understanding to us.  I wonder how many people sit around and go over and over things and try to bring understanding on their own?

All we have to do is ask God what something means and He will bring light and understanding to us.  He wants His children to know Him and His word but sadly...most people know the words to popular songs on the radio but not to His Word.  The devil does all He can to distract us from taking time out to be in God's Word and spending time with the Lord.  I was reading the book again by Billye Brim entitled The Blood and The Glory.  Oh it is so good.  Folks, Jesus came for you to have life and have it more abundantly as it says in John 10:10.  Now it is Satan who came to steal, kill and destroy you and the things around you.  So what are you seeing going on around you?  Is it relationship trouble....that is Satan. It is financial trouble....that is Satan. Is it sickness....that is Satan.  He is sooooo busy these days.  Turn on the news or read the paper and you will see his handiwork.  UGH right?  I feel it too.

So what is a person to do to combat all this?  Glad you asked.  Well, we go to the Word of God for answers.  So let's read 2 Corinthians 6:17 (King James Version) 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. are called to come out and be separate.

That is a key ....we do not go with the flow of the world. We must get in the flow with God. And we do that by getting our minds in line with Him. That is why I am glad you are here. :) I know that is what you are trying to do. That is all good but there are many more hours in the day that we have to take control of our minds and our mouths.  So as you go forth in your day continue to take control of your world.

I have a sheet here that has Bible Words for your Home that the Anointed Brother Dick Mills sent out years ago and they are a blessing. Here is one to share with you now.

OUR HOME IS A HOUSEHOLD OF PEACE.
Isaiah 32:18 My people shall dwell in a peaceful habitation. In a secure dwelling and a quiet resting place.

Isn't that good?  Don't we all want a Household of Peace?  Well, we can have it!

Thank you again for sharing these moments with me.  I believe that the time we share together is precious and I send Love and Prayers to you as you go about your day.  Sending Love and Encouragement as you seek after HIM and His Righteousness.
Kendal
